Our Story

Hidden Gem started with a simple belief: if I wouldn’t use it myself, I wouldn’t recommend it to my clients.

As a salon owner and beauty professional, I was once retailing a very popular lash and brow growth serum from another brand. But when I looked more closely at the ingredients, I discovered it contained prostaglandin analogues — ingredients used in some lash-growth products that can be associated with unwanted effects around the delicate eye area, including irritation and skin darkening for some users.

I wasn’t comfortable continuing to recommend it, so I stopped.

I wanted something different — a formula with natural-focused, carefully selected ingredients, without prostaglandin analogues, that I could feel comfortable using myself and recommending to my clients, including those with sensitive eye areas.

What followed was almost two years of researching ingredients, speaking with manufacturers and testing countless formulations. I tried many different products before finally finding the one that felt right.

And that’s how Hidden Gem was born. ✨

Since launching, Hidden Gem has now been loved by clients for around two years, with many coming back to repurchase it. Seeing clients continue to choose Hidden Gem and make it part of their beauty routine is the best confirmation that I made the right decision.

For me, Hidden Gem isn’t just another beauty product. It was created from a genuine need, carefully searched for and tested, and brought to life because I wanted something I could truly believe in.

And we’re only getting started. ✨

I’m now working on expanding the Hidden Gem range with more thoughtfully developed beauty products, created with the same care and attention to ingredients.
